Medieval Dayraven strives to reveal the enduring influence of the global Middle Ages on today — specifically through games and play. We hope to encourage scholarly collaboration and provide free, accessible, and credible academic knowledge about the medieval period.

Medieval Dayraven welcomes any scholar who wishes to contribute a short piece on medieval games or games that are inspired by the Middle Ages. Although not peer-reviewed, all contributions will be reviewed and contributors may be asked to make corrections or changes if necessary.

Who is Medieval Dayraven?

KRISTEN YORK

The founder and owner of Medieval Dayraven, Kristen is a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University, specializing in medieval literature and cultural game studies. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English along with a graduate interdisciplinary certificate in medieval and renaissance studies at Texas Tech University. When she is not studying the medieval period, she is spoiling her border collie, Zoe, and schnauzer mix, Harry, and exploring new places with friends.
